Capacitor demo

Shows how a capacitor can take non-constant DC voltage and smooth the valleys of the signal so the lamp doesn’t flicker. On the left side is a rectifier that converts AC to a rough and bumpy DC signal. If you plug a lamp in to this, the lamp would blink. The capacitor acts as a “shock absorber” and evens out the bumpiness of the DC. You can turn off the capacitor by switching the switch above it. With the capacitor turned off you’ll see the lamp blink.
