How do you power a 2v led with a 1v power supply? With a joule thief of course. This circuit works similarly to a boost converter but with all passive components. I also reduced the inductance of the transformer because, one, less inductance means a smaller cheaper transformer in real life and, two, it increases the frequency to 50hz which is similar to the flicker of a light bulb and not noticeable to the human eye.

Nice... thing is that coupling seems bit too high for such a transformer... And I don't want to be rude just ...can you come out with something new?
