The LED has 73.2 Amps through it. (Hence the flames) You need a current limiting resistor. With a 2V drop across the LED and a 6V source, that leaves 4V for the resistor. The diode should be limited to 20mA. So 4VĂ·0.020mA=200Ohms. Add a 200 ohm resistor in series with the LED.
