Windmill to Fight Corrosion

The long horizontal line is iron or steel pipe in moist ground.

The idea is make iron ions in ground flow toward the pipe and not away from the pipe.  

Using a windmill to generate low voltage current.

Gas company does this, they dont use a windmill though

Electrolysis takes iron from pipe into the ground. Reversing natural flow from pipe iron into ground with small electrical flow from soil to pipe slows pipe corrosion.
