This is a Dual Resonant Solid State Tesla Coil (DRSSTC) ... It consists of two resonance circuits...The circuit starts of with a rectifier which turns the mains power into a rectified voltage... there is +220 volts on one side and -220 volts on the other side... It has a capacitor to turn the rectified voltage into DC... The electricity goes into a set of 4 transistors... A pair switches on at a time which causes a AC voltage to go into the primary coil of the Tesla coil... the transistors are controlled by a AC source connected to a transformer before going to the transistors and A pair have the connection inverted... The capacitor connected in series with the primary creates its own resonance circuit which causes its voltage to go to thousands on the primary... The electricity is then transferred to the secondary by Alternating magnetic fields... This steps up the voltage on the secondary coil by this: Primary input * (number of secondary coils / number of primary coils) = secondary output voltage... This causes a high voltage on the secondary coil... With the resonance frequency from the secondary, made from the parasitic capacitor and secondary inductor, the voltage builds up... Hence making a very high AC voltage...
