This one turned out to be pretty good. Some of the specs are : - Output power - 46W/4ohm - Drawn Power - 217W -Efficiency - 21% can be brought higher at expense of quality. - Ripple rejection - 41dB - Frequency response - quite broad at 8Hz-200Khz (-3dB) - THD+N - <0.025%@1Khz/55W

Whats the job of the PNP connected to the LED? I think its not needed, except you would like to demonstarte something like temperatur compensation? LEDs do have PTC and your upper current source does have NTC - so is it suppose to compensate somehow? I think the current source itself is perfect enough without the below LED, however it makes sense to move the LED as reference to the current source directly and do a termal coupling with both BJTs. Keep it up!

The distortion seems to be higher without the LED and the transistor. It sort of acts like an emitter degeneration resistor (with a value of ~330ohm) but more pefect than a normal resistor. Plus it provides some stability rather than having the transistor directly grounded.
