Simple redesign of phone charging

I'm attempting to revolutionize how we charge cell phones, this little circuit here denotes a way to switch off from battery to power supply voltage safely and efficiently. The diode should be replaced with the battery charging circuitry, but this will safely disconnect the cell, allowing it to be at "rest" for charging, effectively charging the cell more safely, quickly, and efficiently, with longer lasting charges.

Sorry to bust your dream, but i saw practically the same circuit on a video from the EEVblog, where Dave talked about a Fast "Battery" Charger.
