It‘s a DC motor, controlled by a transistor bridge circuit. For switching, the BJTs get their base current from a Schmitt trigger. The motor is rotating at around 8.000 rpm and is powered by a three phase AC system. First of all, the voltage is rectified by a diode recitifier and is further adjusted by a smoothing capacitor parallel to it.
