A dual clipper with adjustable clipping levels (often referred to as a "biased clipper") is an advanced version of a clipping circuit.
Instead of being subject to the default clipping thresholds imposed by diodes (typically ±0.7V), this circuit allows the designer to specify the exact voltage levels at which the signal is clipped—both at the top and at the bottom (for example, clipping at +5V on the positive side and at −2V on the negative side).
