Afraid not. The transistor will burn out in a few seconds since you have nearly 4 Amps going through the base emitter junction.

@BillyT, have a look at the examples please. On my iPhone the first 6 or so circuits are there but with no accompanying text. Can you confirm you get the same?

Actually it’s first ten examples and several don’t have circuit or text.
