Left light is neon NE-51 bulb line voltage indicator. Now, open switch bottom left by A.C. generator. Shortly, 100 uf capacitor bleeds off voltage after line power stops for several seconds until transistor is able to conduct turning 6 volt battery #40 lamp on. Parts information: all resistor values are 1 watt, diodes 1N92 in 200 PIV silicon rectifier diodes or similar, 6 volt Ni-Cad rechargeable battery. Operation: about 1 hour light using battery power on #40 light. Battery may need several days to fully recharge after line voltage is restored with the slow trickle charge system.
