Common Emitter Amplifier

The base bias voltage is set with the voltage divider arrangement. The input signal is amplified by the NPN transistor. Coupling capacitors are used to separate and block any DC component from the AC signals. Also shown is a bypass capacitor CE that is open at low frequencies but bypasses the emitter resistor at high frequencies, increasing the gain. This is a very common arrangement for BJT’s and produces a stable amplifier.
