You know, a better way to do this is to: 1) Use an AND gate instead of a NAND gate, and 2) hook the AND gate up to the "B" and "D" pins on the counter, and then the gate delay problem will be solved! Just an idea!

Or adjust the gate propagation delay time to 4 us...😎
