Modified astable multivibrator gives LEDs a peak current of approximately 20ma with no current limiting resistor uses the RC timing to fade out. Designed to run off 3V button cell efficiently. Current through LEDs is unstable. Ramps from approx 10mA-21mA every 14 cycles. Might not be noticeable brightness If you use a high brightness LED. Might be a cool feature:) It is difficult to get a low current circuit to be stable. Best to use a Low Power 555 Timer if need ultra stable operation.
