Flashing Neon Lights Ride

Neon idea may need help of neon sign man for your custom demands. Maybe switch in ground circuit to turn off during daytime. Neon tubes stand up to usual jolting of vehicle without problems. The six square wave generators is our six spark plugs on a six cylinder engine. Six small high voltage capacitors connected to each spark plug terminal will light neon tubes or letters (shown as lamps) on side of panel truck. Note firing sequence of engine has to be accounted for in design. Engine running the lamps are flashing. Faster speed is faster flashing.

And what do you think will happen to your tubes at 4 or 5000rpm?

My cars will not do 5000 rpm. Engine would blow first.

Even at 1000rpm/Hz I doubt they will last very long.

Neon sign people may know how long sign would last. Maybe longer than panel truck or business.

And "neon sign people" are also able to recognise a blinking frequenzy that "normal people" can't, right? Even if your engine goes with just a 1000rpms, no human eye will see the "blinking". It'll look like one constant glowing.

Spark build up time would shorten at high rpm and I do not know if that affects neon tube lighting?

I'm sorry, but I've got the feeling I just didn't get your intention or I did understand it totally wrong. Please let's clarify that so we don't talk about two different things. As far as I understood you wanted to flash the lights at the same speed as your pistons are stroking, and that would be a lot faster than anyone could see. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I understand what you mean of lights appearing solid color. I expected erratic lighting of different gases inside neon tubes as charge and discharge could not keep up with rpm speed. More like flicker and not filament on and off in other lights.

I'm glad that we could clear that up. Now I've got it. Thanks.
