Ic becomes hfe tmes Ib. In this circuit hfe is 100. Then Rb is hfe times Rc. Ic is (5V - 0.74(Vbe))/(1k+1k+few ohm)=2.12mA. Ib is Ic/hfe=0.0212mA. Ie=Ic+Ib=2.1412mA.
