Schmitt-Trigger for defining undefined signals with three transistors

The first two transistors are for the Trigger function and the last one is a little output stage.

One Example: Input-Pins from ics or other chips. With this circuit the chip can "read" one concrete state. This needs to be done because the input-signals arent that straight in every situation like when you put a sinwave or a distorted signal on the input.

This type of descrete component circuit is very useful if you only need one Schmitt trigger. Otherwise you'd have to use a whole chip and waste the rest of them. It may also be possible to produce acceptably low propagation delays
