Basic Led brightness control.

The fullest extent of the potentiometer is able to be used by the careful selection of offset resistors. (EC doesn't let you use the full potentiometer any way.)

Led brightness can be seen as a function of the current you apply. 20mA max brightness and e.g. 2mA still visible but almost off. So the trick is to build a stable voltage cintrolled current sink. Check this http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6664970226106368
