A simple demo of how a RC (a resistor and a capacitor) can produce signals with a duration of a millionth of a second. The time is the capacitance * resistance. A 1Ω resistor and a 1F capacitor would produce a 1s long signal. Usually the button should have three contacts, the normal position is ground and when the swith is pushed it connects the capacitor to +5v. Here I used a button with only two connectors, so I had to use a second 100Ω resistor to discharge the capacitor. - may 8th 2018
