Is this a true flyback? I say that this thing belong to inverters. Propably name was taken after EHT transformer whose inside crt tv's were used in HOT transistor driven flyback converter imo.

And those eht transformers are most often used in this type HV generators so name was imported by the way. That's my opinion but i can be wrong.

its the Line Output Transformer from a TV. someone started calling them "Flyback" transformers and the name stuck. because when you touch one with a charged cap, you fly backwards
