1-Way and 2-Way Lighting Switches

Circuit showing the functionality of both 1 & 2 way lighting switches. The 1-way switch controls the lamp on the left. This is a typical switching circuit.
The 2-way switch at the top controls the lamp on the right hand side. This demonstrates how a lighting circuit like those at both the top and bottom of a stairwell or at either end of a corridor work. Both switches work together to toggle the output.
