With a lot of servos and a lot of power when i power up the "insect robot", as hurz calls it, it makes a big servo movement that i'll try to suppress with something like this circuit :) insect robot video (it's real name is Rhex): https://youtu.be/gpWFMkqLpyg More functions for it's code are coming like 3D rotation matrices and some nice commands :) -niki

If you are going against child labor in many nations, what are chances of robots competing with human slaves?
hurz

You prefer to own human slaves?

This robot was built for testing some robotic concepts and for playing with my cat. It isn't good at working

I do not want human slaves or children to be slaves. Many are slaves to be able to eat, servant to a bank, or creditors. How would they be cared for if machines stop needed income? Africa can make children cheaper than buy robots. Just looking down the road.

I understand what you're saying but my small six-legged robot can't do nothing for this

@lmccoig, stop being an idiot, stop being a texas NAZI, childirens form AFRIKA deserve more than being YOUR slave they deserve being Manager, Engineer or President! You still life in the midage.

They increased the minimum wage in some state here in the usa to $15hr. The next day McDonald's and Wendy's changed their employees from human to robotic. Customer service is 100%, and the ice cream machine is never broken.

Right, and nothing left for AFRIKA again, only we take a biggggg piece of the pizza. And if AFRIKA stands up, we just send the WorldPolice from Texas and kill them.

There two types of persons. The one the robot replaces, or the one that replaces robots. This isn't the first time a major change in productivity has accured, the first mill never existed as the community burned it down. Its a dog eat dog world, and Mr. Imccoig is actually a ruthless animal when he is "keeping up appearances". Belly up or go for the neck.

Did someone notice the robot?

Yes, nice toy. You know what I think about in general. Thumb up what you managed so far in HW and in your age! However, this HW is only the sureface of a full complete robot. The more complex part will be the SW and the intelegence of todays best robots is still below the intelegence of an cockroach. So im afraid you will epic fail in SW and will stop the project a little frustrated. Just be happy about the HW and its wireless control and let your cat play with it. Keep it up!!

I don't want to make it intelligent. I'm not stupid i know the limits of a single core 84Mhz processor anyways it is enough to make some SLAM with a Lidar sensor i'm building and with some pressure/contact sensors in velostat i'm going to put on the tip of each legs

A toy dog robot was given to me, it was programmed to walk, whine, act like it's feeling was hurt, ect. The man's real dog hated the toy dog. I suggest find animal who likes robots first. God goes with creatures who can reproduce themselves (even the simplest cell) and never with robots. I would seriously doubt good from world of robots. Extremely poor people have been some of proudest persons I have encountered. They want to appear as others.

I watched the video and felt sorry for the insect robot. Circuit posted seems 3.3 volt DC circuit. I am not against machinery. Satan has world of slaves. Oppression affects all on earth. Most never realize big picture. Human trafficking is a big bucks crime going on in our local news now. Nikisalli, I did not know my comment would upset feelings about environment or life conditions.

No problem i don't believe in god and i think all religion is bullshit. Robots are the future and people's invented gods can't say nothing

Nikisalli, have you completely read the Holy Bible. Knowing what you are talking about can make a difference. Creation teaches us the Master Creator.

@Imccoig. What if your Master Creator turns out to be a robot?

have a look at BEAM robotics, they have been making little robots like this for decades http://www.beam-online.com/index.htm

@lmccoig there's no such thing as a master creator. The ""holy bible"" says just a lot of $h!t and there's no such thing as paradise and hell. I see the world in a pretty scientific way.

@hurz i need some help on a pll phase comparator that people say it is awesome but it doesn't want to work to me :( http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5722971828387840

@faceblast my robot isn't a simple beam bot it has 18 servo motors and it is based on trigonometry and tridimensional rotation matrices.

Pretty scientific way or level of fool? There is a difference. Design of elephant trunk is considered for top robot design and it is filled with muscles. Poor visioned honey bee is a great flyer so how can it land? Cockroach runs straight line with high energy in total darkness. Crocodile finds food in water in total darkness. Your cat's whiskers as complex sensors. Does your car like when you touch it's whiskers? Robot designers investigate to imitate design of nature all the time. If you cannot see intelligent design all around you you will be in darkness world.

Seeing as evolutionary theory through natural selection properly explains the success of existing species given their temporal conditions, I see no need for any God or intelligent designer. That being said, given the binary nature of the Universe and the overwhelming binary aspects of the major religions, I put forward that if there is a God ๐Ÿ˜‰ there's at least a fair chance it's a robot.

Well why are we talking about religion when i just wanted to show the start up system of my robot?

@nikisalli. You're right of course. Apologies. Just can't resist challenging religious nonsense.

God is love, never had a beginning, and will always be above humans. Sort of long route through slavery, desire to exploit humans, lack of faith, and our human feelings discussion.

Why are you still talking about religion. You love god. Ok. Noone cares on electronics app!!

Ok, something technical, this is an exponentiell rampup of a buck type pwm controllerโ€‹ (not a regulator) thats fine for a softstart. However, Is there a filter at outout, LCR combi?
nikisalli
I was thinking about using it as the reference voltage of my buck converter. But i think i'm going to totally eliminate a switching regulator from my robot because they get hot quite fast with a 18 servo load

Maybe i will make a small 6V Ni-mH battery pack

Does anyone know what's happened to @hurz circuits????

Also, if there's an intelligent designer, who or what designed this entity or manifest set of rules?

The question of God is for me unconnected with design
