An idea I had, not 100% efficient. Uses a Sziklai pair. Edit: Tested for a 9V 7A motor with an efficiency of 77.5% Edit 2: Changed the powersupply to a 9V one and lowered the motor start amperage to 3A

Basically the same configuration that I have been experimenting with recently.

I thought of this since Relays require around 60mA for me at 12V and I needed a better alternative and a PNP as a switch could work nicely, that's where the idea with the Sziklai pair came to my mind.

why not, just take care on power dissipation, Vce PNP transistor x Ic = 8.4Watt this can be lowered

i calculated with 3A which was an old value. With 7A it does look even worse. 19.7Watt dissipation at the PNP. If your motor is a 9V motor and your supply is a 12V one and you do not have a 9V supply, you use the switch as power dropper and waste a lot of power. Is this motor fictive or real, 9V 7A 63W electric power?

Fictive motor. I don't have money to get a real DC motor and I don't know where to get one either way. As for the dissipation of the PNP, Imma look it up and take notes in my notebook.
