Could this resemble a camera flash circuit, simplified for that matter? Not an expert myself, so would like to know other's opinions ^^

Camera flashes I read about store 300 volts capacitor charge from batteries then discharge through step up transformer to the strobe flash.

Thanks, but how do they discharge it through a step up transformer? I thought the transformer increases the battery voltage then the charge, around 300 v as you mentioned is stored in the capacitor, waiting to be discharged any moment. Anybody correct me if I missed a thing
