Silly logic sawtooth generator

2 not-gates are configured to oscillate. Their output is routed through a seriesof flip-flops which halve the frequency each iteration. The resulting frequencies are routed through a resistor network, this creates a bitcrushed sawtooth wave. The sawtooth goes into an ADC which is clocked by the original oscillator. The output of the ADC is sent through a resistor network which functions as a DAC.

Fun. :) You could feed the output of the first resistor network into a sample and hold circuit to get rid of the spikes. Just a thought.
