An easy to understand schematic of an uninterruptible power supply I built in about 5 minutes.
Green Waveform → Mains Voltage
Red Waveform → Battery/Inverter Supply
The 12V source is simulating a battery. An optional charger circuit for the battery can be added if desired.
The 230V source on the right is simulating the output of a DC/AC-Inverter.
Alternatively a MOSFET instead of a relay can be used to switch on the DC/AC-Inverter
