••• Update!-- I really hadn't messed around with this simulation model for quite sometime, but recently I went back to it to play with the numbers a little bit. I'm still not sure why but I changed some resistor values and got the simulation operating just like my original build. It's a little fast but I like it better than it was before. I built this one at home recently with an LM324 quad Op-Amp IC. It's effect was actually more interesting than this simulation model! Seems the oscillations between the two halves varies slightly, giving the LED's fade effect subtle timing changes- pretty nifty. I showed it to this dude I know (who's IQ is inversely proportional to his banana skin consumption for that day), and he stared at it quietly for quite a few minutes. It gave me a great idea: when the zombie apocalypse happens, I'll use this circuit to mesmerize the oncoming horde giving myself enough time for a swift getaway!..
