Not that much, but a lot of wasted power. 4.6W for 0.04W LED ....

@hurz Not quite, if we consider that 220vrms is 311vpk, then we have 6.22 watt. But if we analyze the source, we have a 556mA peak current. 220vrms=120watt, 311vpk=170watt. Maybe I'm wrong.

Right, but you compare 40mWrms with 120Wpeak, which makes no sense. And i measured the rms power at 10k resistor, which is the wasting componente here and compare it with 40mW. The given wrong peak voltages i dont care, or better said i gaveup to tell users again and again ;-)
