Two 7 segment displays. Low power switches.

Two 7 Segment Displays. The Idea I had was to not draw current through the BCD. I want to add more, but as you will see, I have ran out of space on the screen, but all the hard parts are done, all that are needed is a switch and NPN transistor per 7 Segment Display. Sadly, the 7 Segment displays in EC do not require grounding which meant I had to build my own out of LED's. Any suggestions or changes are welcome, as this is the first time I've used NPN transitions, so I am prob not using them to their best situations. Also, I do not know which BCD would be best (Real Life ones), If anyone has any suggestions for components, that too is welcome. For all I know, real BCD's may be able to power the LCD's without trouble and I have over-engineered this.

I used .co.uk, as the delivery prices to the UK sometimes negate any savings. But also take longer to deliver. I just purchased a CD4028 to be in place of the two manual switches in this diagram. So I can now drive all 7 segments on 9 displays from just 8 control switches (pins on a arduino).
