Very simple version here. The push button sets the counter to T-9 . Once the main switch(abort) is closed the count down will start.. it can be stopped before reaching zero by opening the abort switch.. once it reaches zero however it will engage the amplifier circuit igniting the engine.. symbolized by the red LED that catches fire lol. in an actual rocket the igniter would simply burn through breaking the circuit.
