Input signal (green Courb) is composed of 2VAC (peak peak) + 5 VDC voltages. Just let's watch the signal after a capacitor and an inductance.

If you switch the places of the capacitor with the resistor, so that the capacitor is grounded, and fed through the 10K resistor, it'll act as an inductor too, attenuating the signal.

Inductor allow continuous component of signal to go to the our, capacitor no

What buggzy probably mean is this http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6679575512743936 , however caps and coils are not equal and current in this example is not equal in phase by nature. Anyway, the amp spectrum magnitude can by tuned identical as low pass filter. Thats what buggzy said.

Yes 100nF doesn't correspond to 33H. A more appropriate value would be 330nF. For me inductors and capacitors are one and a same, just the opposite of each other, if that even makes sense :D inductors block AC the same way capacitors block DC, while passing DC the same way capacitors pass AC. That's what makes them suitable for oscillators, because the energy jumps from one to another in an oscillating manner.

Watch my circuut and see the current direction. Its 90° shifted, this is what coil plus cap needs to be in resonance as tank circuit (180° with ESR=0). So current is in opposite. But you are right, you can substitute cap with coils and coils with caps, but only in a modified topology or even with help of gyrators.

Yes, if a cap is placed in parallel, then most likely an inductor in series will do the same job, and vice versa.
