Soft Touch power switch

Original power switch from Michael Ruppe (link below) adjusted to be used in an Arduino configuration. When the push button (NO) is pressed, the Arduino (displayed as the V meter) senses current (reduced voltage with a voltage devider). The Arduino is programmed to trigger an action on a short press. On a "press and hold" the Arduino switches off the Voltage applied to the lower transistor, thus turning of the circuit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IjJH3ksqfs&lc=z23af3cy5mnqtv1vwacdp435otf4d1ekb1goh4jd5alw03c010c.1514537351567456

The button I have here is really hard to push. Can your circuit make it more soft?

Nmos upside down, it's body diode will bypass the control.
