Um circuito bastante simples, exemplificando a Lei de Ohm: uma resistência limitadora de 10Ω faz com que a tensão que cai no paralelo entre o potenciômetro e a lâmpada seja suficiente para que, com a variação do potenciômetro, a mesma atinja seu brilho máximo ou fique apagada.
A resistência de 85Ω em série com a lâmpada, serve para limitar a queda de tensão na mesma, o que faz com que esta não queime.
