Blue line simulates 5v device like Arduino.
12v switch (relays) are direction. In or Out. Required only for simulation. (3v ↔️ 5v)

Easy buld from 3 parts, diode and 2 resistors. Hispeed bandwitch from high to low requires less resistance or another sheme.
