If you build this, make sure your 1mF cap is rated for 30+ Volts. I popped one last night because it was 16 V rated. Oops.

You may also need to increase the first resistor slightly or add a smaller resistor in series to hit 10 V, depending on the rest of your components. My actual output was 11.53 VDC.
