HOPEFULLY SOMEONE will be able to build or breadboard circuit (special note: top 1mF capacitor and 100 ohm resistor is only to use simulator) and input from earphone connection (remove right 20k ohm resistor for earphone at maximum 1volt peak to peak) into MIC. LINE-IN through soundcard to oscilloscope app. adjust TRIGGER or TIME settings to view AC signal. If it works well let me know. Left vertical wire is long insulated wire from AC connection. Second insulated vertical wire is moved close to sense AC in first vertical wire and some adjustment of signal strength. SPDT switch is to show coil as pick-up wiring if above long wire is not used. Adjustable 100 k ohm resistor and volume control on computer for more fine tuning. High voltage can destroy soundcard or earphones. AC frequency must be in sound range of devices used. DC voltage from source or exact AC voltage from source will not be shown on oscilloscope app. May be safest to adjust with earphones before input to expensive device. Small replica of original AC wave would be the goal. If in doubt on what is way to try this, wait or consult experienced instructor. STAY SAFE!
