100nF = 8mA (enciende tenue) 220nF = 16.5mA 270nF = 20mA (debería encender Brillante). R1 & R2 = 1/4W

As long you have no idea what the mains voltage is all about, you better don't do such circuits. Start with lower voltages to be killed.

I always do this circuit for behind the light power key. I never had problems.

Sure, you are still alive. Anyway, mains voltage is 100V higher then you expect it. It's not 240V it's 339Vpeak. Without knowing that, you are just lucky! Check the topic RMS vs peak voltage of sin wave.

The peak voltage is 311v (Vp) for 220vrms AC. the circuit has a resistor that discharges to the capacitor when disconnected from the network, to avoid overvoltage when reconnecting. I tell you that just as it is, it is working in practice. More than a year ago in a switch in the dining room as backlight.

See in this link there is a picture with the circuit working. https://photos.app.goo.gl/BFQ6f5vmovRuWTKy7

Your peak voltage does indicate you have 240V at mains. If not, im right, as long you do not kown what mains voltage is all about you better do not do such circuits. Semse to be tooooo complicated for you. Check your voltage source which is worngly set to 240Vpeak!!!!!!!

BTW, 240Vpeak is 170V where "V" is always meant to be RMS!
