This is a Binary Coded Decimals(BCD) circuit witch converts a 4 bit binary input into decimals displayed on a 7 segments display, but this circuit on supports displaying number 9

Thanks...but how to display decimal equivalent of 1100..which is 12...Any idea??

Two single digit displays, with the counters inter connected to "carry" the 1, when the count goes from 9 to 10.

1100 or 12 is shown as an hexadecadic number C
