I'm tutoring the 2022 University of Cape Town EEE1006F students and this is their final project for the semester. making a sensor that can detect when plant is fully watered, has some water or needs to be watered immediately and plays a sound when this is the case or has buzzer on or buzzer is off. The potentiometer acts as the soil/sensor... humidity is inversely proportional to resistance and resistance is inversely proportional to voltage, meaning the higher the humidity, the higher the voltage. This circuit works in conjunction with Pot plant sensor - Part 2. The full circuit takes output from circuit in Part 1, without the Leds and feeds into circuit from Part 2, replacing the logic sources with the outputs from circuit 1 and replacing the LED in circuit 2 with a buzzer.
