Crazy Transformer

Maybe the transformer can be made by winding the 1000 turn secondary around the 0.001 turn primary which will be a straight wire? Something needs to be done about the crazy high output impedance though. Adding a 1GOhm resistor drops the output voltage to 10V. Also, at the only frequency range this will work at (which is really high because of the low primary inductance), the main mode of power transfer will be capacitively between the two “coils” (the primary would hardly be a coil). Perhaps the primary could be a single loop and you could have a one million turn secondary? Maybe a simple loop around an iron toroid and a million turns of hair-thin wire wound around the same toroid? Which material works best for the core? Are there materials better than iron? Perhaps the secondary could be made of liquid nitrogen cooled high temperature superconductor to get around the obvious high resistance of a one million turn hair-thin wire? Then, it could be made even thinner so that one million turns won’t take up much space since it shouldn’t matter how thin it gets as long as it doesn’t get too close to the magnetic field penetration depth of the superconductor because then the superconductivity might break down. Is the best transformer core one with high magnetic permeability?

High permeability comes at a price of being more 'reactive' at certain frequencies

What do you mean by “reactive”?

Resistive to AC.
