This is not inverting anything, it's simply a basic transistor switch. Push the button, transistor turns on

No this is an inverter😉 when the gate goes high the emitter drops to near zero. The switch is just for me to simulate the external circuit coming from a pir sensor. This high on base drops the v measurement to low.
