LC Tank without Amp

L and C values are low. Hence they get fully charge and discharge faster. 
f=1/(2pi*sqrt(LC))

R is low hence Cap gets filled up faster.

I have a question about how this circuit works. It looks to me when the switch is to the right the power supply is removed so is the inductor the power source? Interesting circuit by the way.

Both, capcitor and inductor act as source turn by turn once switch is removed from voltage source.
