Clampers are simple circuits that are used to very the DC level of an AC signal. In the given circuit, 1V-1KHz AC supply is the input which is centred at a DC level of 0V. After clamping, the DC level is changed to 5v. Peak to Peak voltage and amplitude of signal is unchanged. Clampers are very useful in Amplifiers, volume controllers and transmitters.
