This full-bridge converter is connected to the 50Hz, 230Vrms grid via an inductive filter. The modulation signal parameters are calculated to convert 3.25kW from a 400V DC bus into the 50Hz AC grid with a unitary power factor. 

The manual switch on the right enables the comparison between 
-Bipolar (all four switches change state at the same time) 
VS 
-Unipolar modulation.
