This will work in practice, however your capacitor will drain itself and thus it will get less bright over time

A wish to tell more... This will not working, this scheme almost looks like simulation bug, this will no work in real life. Capacitor draining energy and resistor less help them, also mossfet opens faster and gives maximum pnp transfer. It can be exclusive if mossfet ID will shown in comments, then i will try this sheme in real life.
