LED blink a la wyoelk

I took this circuit from wyoelk (I am a beginner). But I made a little changes in resistors. It seems the circuit works more stable now. In addition one of the resistors is changed to potentiometer for adjusting the frequency of blinking.

I understand the potentiometer, but what you mean by more stable?

@wyoelk Well, I thought the pulses in the original scheme were not quite regular (now I saw that they are) maybe because I started changing the circuit to reach a higher current through the LEDs (it was 13.3 mA) and who knows what a mess I have made in some moment. BTW I put one more resistor before the central transistor to slow down the discharging of capacitor. Here is the initial cirquit http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6271119653601280
