How to change 8 binary to two 7-segments ignoring the letters????

Force reset by connecting AND gate fed from bits B and D to reset input of counters

All logic sources to be turned off except A on the top binary to 7-segment decoder and B on the bottom binary to 7-segment decoder

Check other counters already made by others and see how they did it. like chris51 said you have to use and gates, there are lots and lots of counters already available, all you have to do is look, and learn from others.
