Fake car-alarm flashing LED - using 555 timer

Build your own fake car-alarm flashing led. The circuit is powered by 9V battery and is interupted by a Switched live wire (14.2V). The two LEDs on the right actually represent a red-green-bicolor LED. If the switch on top is open, the LED blinks red, indicating the "alarm" is on. Closing the switch - turning the ignition key - makes the LED switch to green...

So all I have to do now is buy a fake car LOL. Useful circuit.

Nice idea and circuit, to save using up 9 V batteries all the time, I would tend to run a circuit like this off the vehicle's main battery or put a rechargeable battery pack in.

@Billy T You could indeed change the circuit to run it off the main battery. It would require some finetuning of the resistors/capacitor. I'd go for the rechargeable battery pack...
