The importance of a Blocking Diode for a Security Camera Solar Panel.  The one on the left shows normal operation.  The one in the middle shows night-time when the panel acts as a power sink.  The one one the right shows the effect of a blocking diode at night.  Battery is standing in as a Solar Cell, and the Lamp is standing in for the rechargeable battery in the solar powered security camera.
