Mosfet Driver

A simple mosfet gate driver circuit. This circuit offers low charge and discharge impedance for intrisic mosfet capacitances. It switches easily at 1MHz, maybe a little more without problems, from a 5Vor 3.3V signal [MCU]

What is "charge and discharge impedance"? Isn't impedance just impedance doesn't matter if charge discharge or not charged? Check the supply current and see there is something really bad in this circuit. Keep it up

flip your output pair to complementary, join the emitters

@Markkus92....Above supply shows ≈ 1.8A current cp 1A load and sluggish mosfet...Wondering if something along these lines might be better rather than trying to avoid resistors (were you thinking of τ=RC for the mosfet gate perhaps?)  : http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6627374711439360

Here a proposal of a "simple/primitive" mosfet driver based on @Markkus92 first circuit. As @faceblast suggested with push-pull stage and a more realistic gate impedance. Anyway, a mosfet driver at 1MHz are anything but not simple! http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4918905373458432

@Hurz....Right on, but the supply current still looks a little high and the mosfet sluggish....Is there anything we can do there to cure that?

Just edited, increased the base resistor of both transistors, and still works with less current needed. Thanks for pointing it out

@hurz As charge and discharge impedance I mean how fast the mosfet gate is charged or discharged. They arent the same necessary : if I increase the base resistor of the pnp transistor for example, only the charging transient is affected
